Samsung Ultra Smart F700 Smartphone

Samsung have their sights firmly on Apple and their iPhone with this rather slick smartphone. Certainly Samsung seem to be confident about it, after all they’ve labelled it “Ultra Smart” but does it deliver?

It has a large 2.8inch, 440×240 pixel touchscreen with only a single button on the face. The QWERTY keyboard then just slides out for ease of writing and obviously boosts the amount of hard buttons substantially.

Another nice technical feature is the HSDPA radio – If the networks support it, it has a theoretical bandwidth speed of 7.2Mbps which is stupidly fast however I can’t even see 3G getting such speeds to the masses just yet. Also there is the issue about data plans as you have all that speed to use but it can easily cost you an arm and a leg if you are not careful.

It certainly looks the part, however I’m eyeing up the Nokia N95 as my next mobile phone… I might however be tempted by this model if the price is right.

  • umm full qwerty keyboard. Still doesn’t look quite as kewl as the iphone.
